Video editors’ strike hits state-run television channel
The majority of video editors at the state-run television company STV walked off the job on December 7, forcing the cancellation of sports news segments.
The video editors staged the walkout to protest low pay, according to media reports. As a result, sportscasts were removed from STV’s news shows at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
When reached by BelaPAN, STV managers declined to comment on the strike. // BelaPAN
