Belarusian ambassador meets with rector of University of Latvia

Alyaksandr Herasimenka, the Belarusian ambassador in Latvia, met Thursday with Marcis Auzins, rector of the University of Latvia, to discuss the prospects for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the educational sphere, reported the press office of the Belarusian foreign ministry.

“The sides expressed a positive view on the joint efforts of representatives of the University of Latvia and the Belarusian community in Latvia to establish a Belarusian information center at this leading Latvian educational institution under an agreement signed in November 2012,” the press office said. “They expressed a mutual interest in the development of this project.” //BelaPAN
