Young women flock to girl group auditions in Minsk
Scores of young women dreaming of a glamorous life as a member of a sexy girl group turned up for the first round of auditions in Minsk on January 18.
Fifty girls were to be selected for the second round of auditions.
Auditions are also held in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.
The project was launched by composer Konstantin Meladze, who wants to recruit a completely new lineup for the popular group VIA Gra.
Managers acknowledged that the audition panel focused on looks rather than talent.
The group's new lineup will be picked by Mr. Meladze and TV audiences in the four countries.
