Administration of High Technology Park wants tax breaks for resident companies to remain in place until 2020
The administration of the Minsk-based High Technology Park (HTP) wants the government to keep all tax concessions offered to resident companies in place until 2020, Alyaksandr Martsinkevich, deputy director of the HTP administration, told reporters in Minsk on February 21.
He added that "if any changes are considered, they will be only changes for the better."
Alyaksandr Lukashenka, by his presidential decree in 2005, exempted HTP resident companies from revenue, profit and value-added taxes, and also allowed them to pay mandatory contributions to the Social Security Fund at a lower rate.
The HTP resident companies raised their overall exports by 54 percent to $331.5 million in 2012.
The companies offered products and services to customers in 53 countries last year
Their aggregate proceeds totaled 3.1 trillion rubels, or $370.5 million.
The HTP's 118 resident companies employed a total of 14,500 people at the end of 2012.
Six resident companies of the HTP were ranked among the world's 100 best providers of IT services in 2012. //BelaPAN
