Malady Front presents annual «I Love Belarus» awards

 

Malady Front, an opposition youth group, presented its annual “I Love Belarus” awards in a ceremony held in Minsk on February 16, BelaPAN said.

The awards, which are presented in recognition of actions that benefit Belarus, were collected by winners in eight categories. The winners had been selected by members of Malady Front's community in the Vkontakte social networking site and the opposition group's activists.

Among the winners were Moscow-based reporter Katsyaryna Kibalchych, who is working to launch Belarusian-language courses in the Russian capital and Minsk, and former Swedish Ambassador Stefan Eriksson, who was expelled from Belarus in 2012, as well as journalist Andrzej Poczobut, swimming star Alyaksandra Herasimenya and former political prisoner Vasil Parfyankow.
