Lukashenka heads to Indonesia
Alyaksandr Lukashenka on Sunday began a six-day trip to Southeast Asia that includes visits to Indonesia and Singapore.
Mr. Lukashenka is scheduled to pay a state visit to Indonesia between March 17 and 20, holding meetings with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, according to the presidential press office.
Top government officials accompanying Mr. Lukashenka are expected to hold talks with their Indonesian counterparts to discuss ways to intensify bilateral cooperation. The visit will coincide in time with a Belarusian-Indonesian economic forum in Jakarta, said the press office.
A number of bilateral agreements are to be signed as a result of the visit.
In addition, Mr. Lukashenka will stay in Singapore on a state visit between March 20 and 22. He will hold meetings with President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. //BelaPAN
