Swedish rights defenders demonstrate against world hockey championship in Belarus
Swedish human rights defenders staged a demonstration in Stockholm on May 17 to protest the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF)'s decision to hold the 2014 world championship in Belarus.
The demonstrators handed out leaflets explaining why they think that the tournament should not be held in Belarus. They even managed to talk to IIHF President Rene Fasel (picture 1, center).
The IIHF is holding a congress in the Swedish capital. //BelaPAN
