Lukashenka has telephone conversation with Ukrainian president

 

Alyaksandr Lukashenka on June 10 had a telephone conversation with the president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, in the context of the Belarusian leader’s forthcoming visit to Ukraine.

According to unofficial sources, the visit may take place before the end of June.

Messrs. Lukashenka and Yanukovych discussed the current state and development prospects of Belarusian-Ukrainian relations, reported the press office of the Belarusian leader.

During their previous telephone conversation, on April 15, Messrs. Lukashenka and Yanukovych reportedly agreed to meet in May to discuss “certain problems in bilateral relations.”

They also agreed to discuss “public proposal to establish a public movement, Belarus-Ukraine-Russia.” // BelaPAN
