Belarus, Russia's Altai Krai province sign new cooperation program
A program of developing cooperation between Belarus and Russia's Altai Krai province in 2014 and 2015 was signed during a September 26-27 visit by Belarusian First Deputy Foreign Minister Alyaksandr Mikhnevich to Barnaul.
The agreement provides for increasing the export of Belarusian agricultural, municipal, road construction and logging equipment as well as public transport vehicles, for establishing joint companies to assemble agricultural equipment, for exchanging experience in the agricultural sector and the farm produce processing industry, and for cooperating in the public health sector and in educational, cultural, tourism and youth projects, according to the press office of the Belarusian foreign ministry.
During his visit, Mr. Mikhnevich held talks with Aleksandr Karlin, governor of the Altai Krai province, to discuss cooperation issues, including the possibility of establishing joint machine-building companies as well as cooperation in transportation, the construction sector, the pharmaceutical industry, and the humanitarian sphere, the press office said. //BelaPAN.
