Belarus` exports of petroleum products reported down 3.6 percent year-on-year in first five months of 2014
Belarus` exports of petroleum products in the first five months of 2014 totaled 6,293,000 metric tons, or 3.6 percent less than in January-May 2013, reported the National Statistical Committee (Belstat).
According to Belstat, exports of petroleum products to member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) amounted to 2,185,000 tons, up 12 percent, while exports to non-CIS countries fell by 10.3 percent to total 4,108,000 tons, with prices averaging out at $754 per ton, a fall of 0.1 percent.
In January-May 2014, Belarus imported 9,221,000 tons of crude oil from Russia, or 0.7 percent less than in the same period in 2013, with the average price being $391 per ton, up 3.3 percent, Belstat said.
Imports of petroleum products increased by 11.3 percent to total 80,600 tons, with the average price being $938 per ton, a three-percent decrease.
Belarus imported 8,637 million cubic meters of natural gas from Russia in January-May 2014, or six percent less than in the first five months of 2013, with the average price being $170 per 1000 cubic meters, up 4.4 percent, Belstat said. // BelaPAN
