Lukashenka's visit to China expected to yield "big contracts"
A number of big contracts will be signed during Alyaksandr Lukashenka's visit to China in October, Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Syamashka said at a meeting with Jiang Shusheng, vice chairman of the standing committee of China's National People's Congress, in Minsk on September 13, BelaPAN reports.
"The Belarusian government is taking a number of efforts to ensure that agreements for at least half a dozen of specific big projects are signed during the president's visit to China," Mr. Syamashka said.
Mr. Lukashenka is scheduled to stay in China in the first half of next month.
Mr. Syamashka noted that several joint enterprises had recently been established in China.
In particular, he said, a joint enterprise co-founded by the Minsk Wheeled Tractor Factory was launched in China earlier this year.
