Former KGB spokesman to head Presidential Administration’s Information and Analytical Center
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has, by his presidential edict, appointed Alyaksandr Bazanaw director of the Information and Analytical Center of the Presidential Administration.
Prior to the appointment, Mr. Bazanaw served as counselor at the Belarusian embassy in Germany.
In the early 2000s, he headed the Information and Public Relations Center of the Committee for State Security (KGB).
The position of director of the Information and Analytical Center of the Presidential Administration became vacant with the appointment of Aleh Pralyaskowski as information minister on December 4, 2009.
First Deputy Director Alyaksey Husew was acting director since then. //BelaPAN
