President of Cuba wants to visit Belarus soon, foreign minister says
President Raul Castro wants to visit Belarus soon, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, told reporters in Minsk on Tuesday.
“We are inspired by Belarus’ achievements and celebrate the victory that took place on December 19 together with the Belarusian people,” the minister said. “We reject all encroachments on the sovereignty of Belarus on the part of the United States and the European Union, which impose sanctions.”
According to Mr. Rodriguez, a number of issues of the international agenda were under discussion at his meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Syarhey Martynaw, and that their views on many of them proved to be similar. “We are proud of the role that Belarus plays in the Non-Aligned Movement and will continue cooperation within the framework of this organization. We’ll continue joint work for the development of democracy on the global scale.” //BelaPAN
