N.R.M. scoop best rock act award at 15th Rock Coronation

Cult band N.R.M. were named the best rock act of the last 15 years at the Rock Coronation 2011 awards ceremony at a club in Minsk on February 23.

The band's Try Charapakhi was named the best album of the period since the maiden Rock Coronation took place in 1997.

Only the bands that won the best act category at Rock Coronations had been in the running.

N.R.M. were named the best act in 1997 and 2000.

The awards ceremony was followed by a live show featuring the band, as well as other acts, such as Neuro Dubel, Krama, Bez Bileta, Drum Ecstasy, Palats, and Kriwi.

N.R.M. performed without their frontman Lyavon Volski, who has not rehearsed or played on stage with the band for two years due to side projects.

In a blog post in January, Mr. Volski wrote that he had found it hard to "learn from the media that I'm on an indefinite hiatus initiated by my bandmates." "I'm asking you to forgive them this step at this time. Forgive me that such a situation has become possible," he said while addressing N.R.M. fans.

N.R.M. were formed in 1994. Their most recent album, "06," was released in 2007. //BelaPAN
