Flowers laid at graves of founders of Belarusian National Republic in Vilnius
A group of Belarusian opposition activists and members of the Belarusian community in Lithuania on March 25 visited the Rasos Cemetery in Vilnius to lay flowers at the graves of Ivan and Anton Lutskevich, who were among the founders of the 1918 Belarusian National Republic (BNR), on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the proclamation of the BNR’s independence.
The group included Stanislaw Shushkevich, Belarus' formal head of state between 1991 and 1994, and Khvedar Nyunka, the long-time chairperson of the Belarusian Culture Society in Lithuania. //BelaPAN
