In pictures: Students, faculty of Belarusian State University commemorate Great Patriotic War veterans
Students and faculty of Belarusian State University (BSU) gathered near the rector's office on May 7 to commemorate veterans of the Soviet Union's 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
The veterans honored in the event are the school's former students and employees. Rector Syarhey Ablameyka (picture 3) paid tribute to them in his speech.
Participants laid flowers at a monument to BSU students and faculty who died in the war. Cadets at the university's military faculty marched in front of the crowd.
BSU students sang wartime songs in a concert that crowned the event. //BelaPAN
