Lukashenka expected to play hockey in Russia’s Sochi this week
A Belarusian team featuring Alyaksandr Lukashenka is expected to take part in a Russian Amateur Ice Hockey Festival that will be held in Russia’s Black Sea coastal resort of Sochi between May 3 and May 10.
According to Russian news agencies, the Belarusian leader received an invitation to take part in the tournament from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. At the group stage, the Belarusian team is to play against teams from Moldova, Serbia and Canada.
The Russian Amateur Ice Hockey Festival was initiated President Vladimir Putin and Russian retired hockey players. // BelaPAN
