Japan to donate over $100,000 to Homyel Regional Children's Hospital

The Japanese government will donate $106,300 to the Homyel Regional Children's Hospital for buying medical equipment, a spokesperson for the Asian country's embassy in Minsk told BelaPAN.

The donation will be made as part of Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.

An agreement for the donation will be signed by Kiyoshi Matsuzaki, Japan's charge d'affaires in Belarus, and representatives of the hospital in Homyel on September 21.

The Japanese government has donated more than $1.8 million to Belarusian hospitals in Chernobyl-affected areas in the Homyel, Mahilyow and Brest regions under the program.
