House of Representatives passes 2014 budget estimates for interior ministry's Corrections Department
The House of Representatives on December 12 approved both readings of 2014 budget estimates for the interior ministry's Corrections Department.
As Deputy Interior Minister Viktar Dubavets told the House, the bill is aimed at the development of the Corrections Department's production facilities to ensure jobs for inmates of correctional institutions and special treatment facilities for alcoholics to help them compensate for their maintenance by the state.
The department’s revenues are expected to total 15 billion rubels (some $1.6 million at the current exchange rate).
The department is to spend seven billion rubels for replenishing the working assets of correctional institutions and special treatment facilities. As much as 7,075 million rubels has been earmarked for purchases of technological equipment and vehicles. //BelaPAN
