Internal security department established at State Control Committee
An internal security department has been established at the State Control Committee (SCC), BelaPAN reports.
The main function of the new department is to prevent and stop illegal activities by the Committee’s officers, said the SCC press office.
“Any information received by the international security department will be examined and checked by its officers without fail,” the press office noted.
The State Control Committee was established by a presidential edict in December 1996 through the transformation of the presidential Control Service after Alyaksandr Lukashenka abolished the State Auditing Chamber.
