Shakira plays concert in Minsk
Colombian pop diva Shakira played Thursday her first-ever Minsk show to an almost capacity audience at Minsk Arena seating 15,000 people.
The Minsk date was part of Shakira’s The Sun Comes Out tour.
Fans had to wait for more than an hour outside Minsk Arena ahead of the show that started late. Perhaps, the delay was the reason that the audience was a bit apathetic during the show.
Tickets to the concert went on sale on March 2 and varied in price between 130,000 rubels ($43) and 1.5 million rubels ($495).
Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977), known professionally as Shakira, has won two Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards and twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards and has been nominated twice for Golden Globe Awards. She is also the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time, and the second most successful female Latin singer after Gloria Estefan, having sold more than 60 million albums.
