Belarus hoping to get construction contracts in Turkmenistan
Belarus hopes to win several construction contracts in Turkmenistan, a gas- and oil-rich country in Central Asia.
In particular, the Belarusian construction ministry has suggested that a Belarusian enterprise build a 150-kilometer railroad section in the country, according to the ministry's press office, as quoted by BelaPAN.
In addition, the Turkmen government has received a proposal for the construction of a multi-sport center and a housing estate by a Belarusian company. The designs of the facility and the houses have already been submitted to Turkmenistan's deputy prime minister. Apart from this, Belarusian manufacturers of building materials consider starting plants in the Central Asian country, the press office said.
