Leader of "Tell the Truth!" campaign unveils priorities of his election platform

Uladzimir Nyaklyayew, a prominent poet and the leader of the "Tell the Truth!" campaign, on Thursday unveiled priorities of his election platform, BelaPAN reports.

The presidential aspirant said winning the coming presidential election was his firm determination. As for Alyaksandr Lukashenka, he noted ironically that the person would “surely become an opposition leader” following the poll.

Mr. Nyaklyayew promised to carry out reforms to establish a parliamentary republic in the country, suggesting that the nation had acquired an extensive “genetic” experience of parliamentary democracy as part of the Grand Duchy of Litva (Lithuania). The Belarusian future should be shaped to exclude the possibility of a return to authoritarian regime, he stressed.

“I have come to bring you victory” is the motto of Mr. Nyaklyayew’s election platform.
