Workers shining up Babruysk ahead of Lukashenka’s visit

A major clean-up has been in full swing in Babruysk, Mahilyow region, this week ahead of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to the small city scheduled for January 20.

Workers were trimming trees, cleaning sidewalks, replacing drain pipes, painting the exterior walls of buildings facing the street rose and light green and putting up new fences.

The work was, however, confined to two central streets, Kastrychnitskaya and Bakharava, along which Mr. Lukashenka is expected to ride with his entourage during his visit to the city.
