Government-controlled companies to pay for excessive consumption of natural gas, electricity at double rates

Companies in which the government holds more than 50 percent will pay for natural gas and electricity consumed in excess of the prescribed limits at double rates this year.

The Council of Ministers issued a directive to this effect on January 26.

The limits were set by the cabinet on December 30 depending on 2012 performance targets for the company.

The country's all government-controlled companies are facing this year a task of reducing the consumption of gas and electricity for industrial purposes by at least five percent compared with 2011. //BelaPAN
